MiG-29 Aerobatic Maneuvers
Here is something that you might never have done before – sit inside the cockpit of the MiG-29 "Fulcrum advanced jet fighter aircraft. Not only that but to be able to fly in the aircraft, and experience aerobatic manoeuvres, might well be a thrill of a lifetime.
The MiG-29 "Fulcrum" is one of the most advanced jet fighters in the Russian Air Force. It was designed for gaining and maintaining air-superiority. It has turbojet engines, has a massive power:mass ratio, and an excellent aerodynamic form with tremendous visibility from the cockpit.
During your MiG-29 "Fulcrum" flight, several aerobatics – from basic to advanced – will be performed. The level of difficulty depends on your state of health. Maneuvers such as Flying Inverted, the Hammer Head, the Roll, the Loop, a Low Level Pass and others will be executed. We offer two flight programs for the MiG-29, which differ in flight duration – either 25 minutes or 45 minutes.
The duration of the total Aerobatic package experience in the MiG-29 should last 3 hours but the memories stay all your life. The flight preparation procedures take half an hour. You can talk with the pilot about the flight's program; have a blood-pressure check, don a special pressure-suit and a helmet with an oxygen mask. When ready, you will will be ferried to the airfield for an inspection of your unique aircraft which is the envy of world's aircraft industry. You will check all control surfaces and mechanisms under the supervision of your pilot, and then he will give a detailed explanation of all the functions of all the cockpit's displays and instrumentation.
Once airborne and after reaching the maximum altitude, the MiG-29 "Fulcrum" fighter jet will descend to an altitude of between 5 and 6 km, and the pilot will begin performing his aerobatics. These high-altitude aerobatics can be performed a long distance from the Sokol Airbase but in case your friends might like to watch the advanced aerobatics, with you on board, just as in an air show. You will be able to constant communications with the pilot and may modify your program or severity of the aerobatics. G-forces range between 3G and 7G.
The Aerobatics flight is flexible and the pilot may adjust the program according to how you are feeling. Please do not think that these flights are only for physically strong young men. We have substantial experience of organizing such flights for 65-year old men, as well as for women of all ages, all of who have coped well with all the different G-loads and loved the experience.
